Automobile Break-In's

I Live at 101 Walnut Creek Road and want to make everyone aware of vehicle robberies in the neighborhood. Some electronic items were taken from my car sometime Monday morning August 24. I will admit that the car doors were unlocked at the time.
Please remember to lock car doors and I reiterate the fact that in a neighborhood, we should always keep out eyes out for things out of the ordinary. I try to do my part in this, especially living at the corner here. There were no police involved as I am totally to blame by leaving the doors unlocked.

Note: All thefts should be reported to the police as they do check pawn shops for serial nos. and can often recover stolen item and trace the culprit.

We live on Mockingbird and my GPS and I Pod were stolen .

GPS showed up at a pawn shop in Goose Creek and has been recovered and returned to us. Another GPS showed up at a pawn shop in Summerville but police have not found the owner of that one yet.
An 18 year old from Summerville has been arrested.
We are usually pretty good about locking our cars but apparently didn't that night
just thought I'd pass it along.

Preventively, please remove all valuables from cars whenever and wherever they are parked, Particularly GPS, computers, I-Pods, and Firearms.
Keep outside lights on and look outside if dogs begin to bark.
Parents, have teens come in at night or know where they are. Allowing them to roam the neighborhood late increases the chance they or their friends could be involved in these crimes.
